At Bali Diversity, we give you time to learn at your own pace, so our IDC internship lasts minimum 16 days. The IE in Amed is usually done in 2 days so count a minimum of 18 days to become a PADI Instructor. Although, we have created a few packages for those who would like to get more time & more training. Our IDC schedule follows PADI’s Instructor Examination schedule in Amed so our candidates don’t have to travel far, change examination conditions or have to pay extra costs. Requirements
Be aware that to become a PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor, you need to meet the following performance requirements:
- Be minimum 18 years old.
- Be a PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another diver training organization.
- Be a certified diver for at least 6 months.
- Have 60 logged dives to start the IDC and 100 logged dives to start the IE with experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.
- Emergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care course completion within the last 24 months.
- Medical clearance within the previous 12 months.

If you are short on time or budget, consider taking the IDC internship in two parts. Complete first the Assistant Instructor (AI) portion then the Open Water Scuba Instructor (OWSI). It is also a great way to learn at your own pace if the 16 days course seems too fast for you.

Faq
- Be certified as a PADI Divemaster or leadership level with another diver training organization.
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Have been a Certified Diver for at least 6 months.
- Medical clearance attesting to dive fitness signed by a physician within the previous 12 months.
- 60 documented logged dives and documented experience in night diving, deep diving and underwater navigation.
- 100 documented logged dives to start the Instructor Exam.
- Emergency First Response Primary & Secondary Care course completion within the last 24 months.
You will be diving in Amed, Tulamben, Seraya, Kubu & Gili Selang areas. You will also get special rates for all our excursions to further away dive spots around Bali.

Course fee doesn’t include the PADI Open Water Scuba Instructor and EFR Instructor Materials & Slates. We can assist you to purchase the required materials at advantageous price.
Course fee doesn’t include the PADI Application Fees and the Instructor Exam Fees. PADI & IE Fees need to be paid directly to PADI.
